University Hospitals of Cleveland and Medical Mutual have come to an agreement to include the UH Main Campus in Medical Mutual’s SuperMed network. This has been a long time coming and now expands Medical Mutual’s already strong network to include the following hospital facilities:
Anthem is leaving the Ohio ACA On Exchange Marketplace in 2018. While this is not shocking and just continues a domino effect of carriers leaving the healthcare.gov exchange, this will effect many Ohioans.

As many consumers know, the open enrollment period has started today and will run for until January 31st, 2017. There are some important items that you should remember as you look to renew or purchase a plan for January 1, 2017.
The IRS has released new guidelines for HSA and HDHP health plans for 2017. Aside from an increase of $50 in the amount individuals may contribute annually to their HSA account, all other limits remained the same. Please see below:

With the Reinsurance tax ending soon, many carriers will be forced to make changes for 2017 plans. The Reinsurance payments were put in place by the PPACA (ObamaCare) law and they were meant to help stabilize the individual marketplace. This payment from the federal government to carriers was always temporary and now with it ending carriers are forced to make needed adjustments.
