Effective July 1, 2019, Huntington Bank will replace PNC Bank as Medical Mutual's banking partner for payment processing of premium and ASO-related payments. These changes support Medical Mutual's efforts to align with financial institutions and companies with an Ohio-based focus.
To allow for the time it takes for individuals and groups to update banking information, PNC bank accounts will remain open until later this year.
Group and Member Notification for Payment Processing
Groups and individual plan members will be notified of this change and required banking change next steps via a payment stuffer, letter or email beginning later in June and continuing into July 2019 based on communication method. The basic changes are noted below.
Individual plan members must update the PO Box used for online banking or when sending premium payments.
Fully insured groups must replace PNC account number and bank routing number with Huntington information.
Groups with ACH Pull must add the Huntington Bank ACH filter.
Groups and individuals that do not follow the requested banking changes will experience delays in payment processing. Please contact MCC with questions.
